I wouldn't think it would be a problem at this point when they are small.  I had mix and match my cichlids in the past without any problems in a huge tank.  If you provide some hiding spaces and rocks for the less dominant fishes it would be o.k.  But once they get bigger relative to your tank becareful in terms of them being more aggressive and territorial.

As long as you were certain you would be able to buy a few bigger tanks in the future, that would probably be alright. As long as the Dempsey and the Oscar are small, they shouldn't be able to do too much damage.

I don't know much about the temperment of Red-Tail cats, all I know is they get huge. But I'm sure you already knew that.

One more thing, I don't know your level of experience, but that's not a tank for a beginner.

Those are three messy fish that require fairly exacting water conditions.

By the same token, it could be a very rewarding (if short lived) tank for the experienced fishkeeper.

You better have a big tank to move them to.  Red-tails will grow to over a foot in less then a year. You also have to be careful with your equipment when it gets that size.  They get curious and start eating inatimate objects ( i.e. heater clips, filter in/out puts, etc.)  they are real cool though, don't get me wrong, i would have one no dought at all if i had a big tank, Around 200 gallons or so.

Don't think I'm being a smart ellic here but the minimum for a red-tailed cat is about 800 gallons. And if I had one I would go with a 1000 gallon tank. They can get almost 4' in length which is absolutely huge. ;D Just thought I'd add that. :)
