Hello Again,
Now that my fish are getting along, my JD's color has changed alot, he is getting more of a black color to him. I was looking for pictures of JD's and can't find any that look like him. Most of them are bright color and silver. Can anyone who knows about JD's help me understand or tell me how I can get his color to come back?

Actually I did a little research myself and found out JD's are actually a white or pale blue color when they are stressed. They actually range from black with blue highlights to tan with black markings..Here is the site I found it on..Thanx for trying to help but I was worried and ended up doing it before you responded. And I think you guys learned something to cause you thought he was stressed. Thanx again. Destiny

Not sure the size of the tank as I have stated before. My b/f knows that info. He is with a oscar and they were fighting until I asked for your help then, now they are fine. Not sure of the lighting either, will have to find out exactly what it is from my b/f. Don't wanna say the wrong thing. We feed them veg gumdrops and bloodworm gumdrops, and for a little while we put live minnows in to get them from fighting.

I have 4 JD's and when they get a new tank mate or when they eat, they get real dark, like they're ready to fight. Normally they are a very beautiful blue-ish green color when they are doing their own thing. I think they are such pretty fish because of their color of. There are times that they are more pale then others, but most of the time, the color is real strong.
