I'm not quite sure if I have bought a jewel cichlid 'coz its head is quite big and the mouth is quite long and it doesn't have spot on its body, though I've read that tank bread mostly doesn't have body spots. It's about 14cm long & 7cm deep. Pls help me ID this fish. Thanks guys.

Flowerhorn (hybrid), looks like it might be a Red Texas...texas crossed with a midas/RD. Gorgeous fish, nice pick up! The bad news is it'll get about 12" or bigger and most likely be NASTY. It will need at least a 75gal tank all to itself.

Thanks SK! Currently it is in my 100gal tank w/ a male oscar, blood parrot (?gender) and a male convict. When I first put it in the tank it was so timid and all the fishes chases it. But after a few days it started chasing the convict being the smallest in the tank. The BP being the king of the tank and the oscar its buddy. So far I haven't seen any serious agression just the usual chasing of the hybrid on the covict.
