Julidochromis Ornatus

My female Ornatus has turned on the male for no apparent reason and won't tolerate him anywhere in the aquarium despite there being more than enough room for them both

Is the likely outcome 1 female Julie unless I remove him??

How bad is it? Are they fighting, lock jaw, or is the male cowering in a corner?

You might have to get rid of both and start again from 6 juveniles or subadults, as she might not entertain the introduction of more julies. Either that or remove her to another tank temporarily with the new fish and introduce them all together.

The male is cowering in a corner, even there he isn't safe, he is quite a bit smaller than her so doesn't really stand a chance. She is quite relentless at times. I think I will remove her and leave him in peace until I upgrade in the next couple of months.
