hi i dont mean to be a pain. i have just seen a royal pleco in the shop and ive been looking everywhere for details about it and i just cant find enough. if anyone knows a lot about it or anything at all i would be very thankfull to learn what it needs and likes. thanks very much

The one thing that isn't really mentioned on PC is how delicate they are when first imported. All specimens are wild caught and often can refuse to eat until becoming acclimated to the new tank. It can get as bad as them starving to death.

When introducing a new Royal to a tank it's recommended to increase current, up the temp to about 82ish and do not have any overly active bottom dwellers. I know of several accounts where the fish had to be acclimated in a tank all by itself just to keep it from starving.

Yes they eat wood. If you look back on PC the pic of the one showing it's teeth is mine. :D
