Yep.  Just remember the 1 inch of fish (full grown) to gallon rule.
I'd get dwarf gouramis m'self; any variety of 'em.  Mine greet me at feeding time by spitting at my fingers.  Guess they think they're archerfish.

I have a pair of Honey Gourami's in my 15G tank and they are beautiful! They are really not shy and the male always wants to impress the female! It really nice to look at!

Yes, I'm going to agree with everyone :) Gouramis are the best. When in full splendor my honey sunset's in my ten gallon are really amazing. They're really pretty and they're pretty playful too. Good luck with yours :)

I've got 7  3" gouramis. 2 golden or honey, and 5 two spoters..actually I did, my 10"rope fish ate one for dinner last night...

anyway...I HATE GOURAMIS!They are boring as HELL, and semi-agressive to each other and they eat ALL the plants...if you get some you better plan on feeding them some zuchini they love that stuff.

So if your on the east coast you can have mine...
