Keeping a QT Running?

Hi Just a quick question on keeping a QT seeded and cycled when there are no fish in it. Could I put a few hermits and a snail in there to keep the bacteria going? Right now, I have an angel in there. She will be in there for a few more weeks. But what should I put in there after I transfer her to my main tank?

I usually just put like a filter sponge in my fuge...let bacteria culture it, then put it in the qt when I need to set it up.

I wouldn't leave it up and running, especially if your treating with meds you will want to give it a good cleaning after treatment. I would only set it up on an "as-needed" basis. (IMO)
