Kenyi atacked my hand!

I was moving some plants around in my tank (some aponegetons) and it was pretty close to my male kenyis "cave" (a petsmart tree stump set into a hill of gravel to form a den) and he attacked my hand! As I was moving my hand arranging the gravel back, he bit at me. I thought it was cute at first, but then he thought he was winning, so I chased him off. His fins have been all flared up for a couple mintues, but he finally calmed down. Anyone else have that happen?

i was cleaning near the top of the tank.....a lot of baby convicts swimming about, Suddenly from the bottem of the murky water my male convict charges my hand from the shadowy depths in which he had been lurking. He hit my hand, then turned and descended into the depths from which he came....

Scared me to death and was almost cleaning up 29gals of water and a broken fishtank.

Wow... that's a fish who doesn't like you near his cave. My dwarf gourami nibbled me once. He eats whatever he can get in his mouth, so I guess he just thought he would see if I was edible.

The only fish in my tank that hasn't taken a bite at me is my clown loaches... no wait, yes they have. lol. So all the fish in my tank have a taste for human flesh... hmmm, that could be convenient, mwaaa haa haa haa! j/k, or am I?

Maybe it's their way of getting back at us for keeping them in a little glass cube. And most fish do like live food

hehehe kenyis are nippy little suckers my angels like to nip at my armhairs when i clean out theyre tank. im surprised my puffer hasnt taken a bite out of me...but i think we have an understanding

ive had my puffers take bites at me before, they do hurt, and at work i had a 12" hap compressiceps take a shot at my finger that one hurt and scared the crap outta me

sometimes my severum picks at my hand. but that is probably due to hand feeding

hehe my betta does this pretty cool thing where he will jump out of the water if u hold food a few mm above the water, he hasnt niped me yet though, it always makes me jump when he does it cos he just hovers under the food then suddenly leaps (kinda leaps) out and grabs it frm me
