Kenyi Female Has Babies!

Ok new to the Kenyi breeding thing. My male and largest female "did the deed" and now she is holding. She has been this way for two days. My understanding is she will keep them in her mouth until she feels they are safe, usually 3 weeks I think I read. Anyway I have an issue with the male. He is the dom. male and largest fish in the tank. I have two females and two males in there. No they didn't start out this way, one of my females went male for some reason. Anyway the dom. male is chasing everyone and I mean everyone in the tank like mad now that she is holding.

I have a 20 gal that I can move the male to and he will be the only one in there. Should I move him or is this normal for the male? I just don't want the male to hurt the mommy fish or any of the other fish but he will not let any of them rest at all.

Thanks!

Yes he started chasing her big time yesterday and would not stop. He usually does the little dance and tries to keep her in one area but not today. No matter where she was he went after her, biting her fins. So I had the choice of moving him or her to the 20 which has no fish but is an established tank that I keep for emergency issues. So I moved the female. She seems very happy to be alone with the eggs still in her mouth. It took almost an hour to move her but I wanted her to swim into the net and stay calm during the move. From now on to breed her I will just put the male in the 20 with her till they "do the deed" and then move him out. He is so aggressive! He killed a smaller female week ago.

well I always like to remove holding females into their own 10 gallon and let nature take its course.
a 10 is fine for the one fish because she is not eating and not producing waste.
once the fish spits fry in 21-28 days you can put her back in the main tank
I wouldn't worry about the fish in the main tank being aggressive they are just being Africans :D

Thanks for all the help!! She has been holding for about 7 days now. This is so cool!!

I have a magnum 350 on the 20 gal. Is that going to be a problem for the babies? I have a 250 on the 30 gal and I can switch the tops if need be to take down the amount of filtration for the little guys.

Thanks!
