how big does a killifish get, can i put a pair of golden killifish in a 5 gal hex

Most killies are small fish, from one to two inches (2.5 to 5 cm), with the largest species growing to just under six inches (15 cm).

Make sure it has a nice tight lid. They love to jump.

I have a huge golden wonder killie close to four inches. They are a top dweller and a hex doesnt provide alot of room for a fish that stays in one level of the tank most of the time. A regular shaped 10 gallon might be alright for two. These are not an annual killie and can live for several years. They grow bigger than alot of killies and are voracious eaters.
