Very nice shots,

Kribs are wonderful cichlids! question for all those losing the hubby's, are you putting the pair in a tank alone or adding other fish?

The reason I ask is I have never lost a male or a female breeding pair due to bullying or beating and had at least 6 pairs over the last 4 years and before a break in fishkeeping some 10 years ago. I never kept my pair alone and they never beat on each other, all aggression was aimed at the other occupants in the tank. The majority of the time the pairs successfully reared 20-30 fry with these other occupants present. Tiger and Rosy barbs made excellent tank mates and took the aggression avoiding the beating. hope this helps

I have tried to rear the kribs with a pair of cupids...bad idea...the female has killed those ...stressed them far too much..and they didnt recover..it seems the hatchets are the only ones she hardly picks on...im planning on adding TONS more plants and a few tetras...I have a 65gal tank..with a pair of kribs..she didnt kill her man yet...but they are not to dominant in that tank due to the plecos and bettas that have lived there before i got the kribs...i keep the temp 75C in the 65gal..and the kribs have never had fry...in the 50gal i had the temp at 84...had the fry ...now the 50gal is at 80...i dont plan on getting her a mate...im almost thinking about moving the female krib from the 50gal to the 65gal...what do you think...you think there will be a fight having 2 females and one male krib in a 65gal?
