Last night i saw my female krib guarding some eggs in a flowerpot. I have a few questions...
1. Can they lay eggs without a male in the tank?
2. What do fertilized krib eggs look like? What about unfertilized eggs?
I didnt think i had a male in the tank, although there is one of my kribs that i cant tell if it is a male or a female.
My kribs are about 1-2". Im watching them close to see if they hatch!!

that is a male krib...im positive.

When I bred my kribs, I used a 10 gallon with only them inhabiting the tank. After a few days, they'll hatch and then a few more days they should be able to swim and the parents will take them on excursions throughout the tank. At this point, I removed my parents back to the 55 community and hand raised the babies. I still have them to this day and they're about 2.5-3 inches now:)

Cool, well i woke up this morning and looked for the eggs and they were gone. the female was not guarding anywhere anymore, so i figured she ate them. This was her first spawn i assume.
I also went to the lfs today, and got a male krib (i KNOW it is a male krib)- will get pics later. It is a large krib, full grown for my full grown female.
