My kribs had laid a bunch of eggs on the underside of a rock on Sunday. The female and male would not stray far from the cave and constantly were guarding the eggs. Today I looked and the eggs were gone and the kribs don't seem as interested in the cave although they occasionally come back. I don't see any movement around the cave. Did all the eggs get eaten?

Quite possible they got eaten. What else do you have in the tank?

With my angels, I've found it useful to keep a small desk lamp on near the tank at night, as sometimes they get spooked in the dark and eat the eggs. It also takes some fish a few "tries" before they get it right. If this was their first spawn, it's certainly not uncommon.

Agree with Cichlid man, when mine used to spawn after about four days the eggs would disappear!

However watch the parents if they are still guarding an area then most likely fry have hatched and don't move much in the first few days. wait another three days or so you should see some movement.

Good luck

Its Not uncommon for Kribs to eat there First lot of Eggs.
My first Pair of Kribs did.
You have to bear in mind mum and dad have no experiance.
You must try and keep hands out of tank and do no water changes whilst eggs are on go it may take several goes for them to get it right.
good luck.
