krib question

this might be somewhat of an ignorant question, but in my 29 gallon tank what would be the maximum number of pairs of kribs that i could keep? I dont think that im gonna be putting anything else in, but my guess would be one pair. also a little off topic sorta, german rams, are they suitable tankmates for a pair of kribs? any input greatly appreciated, thanks a bunch,

Well when i had some rams and kribs together in my tank, the kribs would often bully them, i dont know why unless its just a cichlid thing or unless it was just my fishes :S but id say no to that just incase the kribs bully the rams

1 pair, no other substrate spawners. I never found kribs to be as 'nice ' as they're meant to be

agreed with wayne. In a tank that small I would be hesitant to put any other bottom dwellers period.

you may get away with a few ottos, as they are pretty fast to escape the kribs.

I've kept and bred 2 pairs in a 29gal before, so its not impossible. But for the record i never had very good fry rates and the pairs were always going at it.

Look into something for the mid to upper range of the tank.

thanks, what would you all suggest to complement the colors of the fish and substrate, im going with plain old play sand for the substrate sooo.... any suggestions?
i was thinking maybe some tiger barbs, but i dunno, thanks again
