i was wondering what do you guys think the best tankmates for a pair of kribs would be?...say in a 50gal aquarium that had the footprints of 3feet by 18in wide..and 20in tall

any suggestions would really be appreciated:)

I would say a schooling fish and some bottom dwellers. What are you looking into getting? Like you could do i nice large group of harlequin rosboras and like5 cories? Or maybe loaches. They might get into fights with the kribs since there both on the bottom. And maybe an angel or two.

The less bottom dwellers the better IMO. All h-e-double toothpicks will break lose when the pair of kribs have a group of fry and they will unleash their demonic wrath on anything that comes close to the bottom in the area where their babies are :p. Even fingers...my male ninja-style pecked on my finger when I was replacing a plant that floated to the top.

Just make sure to have plenty of caves and hiding places. My cories got beat up pretty bad by my krib parents in my 55 gallon when I had it as a FW tank (it's brackish now).

But - there is nothing cooler than experiencing krib parent behavior. I'm now in my third generation of babies and now the mom of one batch is flirting with one of her sons from her last batch! She wants to breed with her son! Heh heh heh.

My breeding kribs move everyone to the other side of the tank when they breed. This includes the cory cats. The cats manage to sneak over throughout the day, but only stay on that side for a while cause the female krib goes nuts when she sees them. Never actually HARMS them, just pushes them out of the way.

what do you do with your krib fry? mine accidently had some and i saw them for the first time yesterday...is it possible to keep a few future krib pairs in that 50gal tank? how many kribs could i possibly keep together...
it just worries me a bit that i have like 50 fry..its interesting too..but im worried that if they do survive...what could i do? im going to let them be..but what options do i have? i would love to see them but im afraid of their aggression towards each other...any suggestions
