Kribs layed eggs!

My kribs layed eggs in a cave just now! There are at least 100 or more lining the roof and sides of the cave. THe female is inside the cave, while the male guards the outside. I hope they hatch!!

Congradulations on the spawn. Take pictures, update, share tank parameters ect with us. It would be interesting since ive been reading up on kribs and im aiming for a pair to breed also.

Thanks. I can't get pictures because i can barely see the eggs. Eggs are still there so far. If they hatch like ive read (~3 days) then they should hatch either tonight or tommorrow. My tank parameters are pH: 7.2, Temp: 80 deg. F, Heavily fake planted, lots of caves, Penguin 125 BioWheel Filter. Anything else you would like to know?

Congrats fishman--just look for the swarm of fry around the mother! I think my Kribs are about to spawn again. Must be luuurrv in the air!

hehe thanks. Will watch for fry. The eggs havent hatched yet, the third day will be wednesday so i bet theyll hatch then. good luck with yours!!

Yes i did cause everything i read said they will hatch in 3 days

Well the fry have become free swimming now! the parents have them all in a group in the middle of the tank guarding them.
