have any of you guys kept a pair of kribs that weren't a mating pair?

like 2 female or 2 male?

just curious if the kribs would be more peaceful if you kept only 1 sex....

i have had both regular old kribs, and also the P. taeniatus (sp?) - both of which i kept as pairs, which i understand doesnt help you much.:)

i have heard that keeping kribs in larger groups can disperse the aggession and make for a nice set-up.

note: referring to kribs as "aggressive" is hard to choke down after keeping a breeding pair of managuense, but i know what you mean...

I know 2 females together is a bad idea. The dominant female will constantly chase the other female. I'm not too sure how 2 males would do. If the tank is big enough I would wager either sex would work. I can't imagine not wanting to keep a pair though, so you can watch them flirt and all that jazz.
