L-056 gold chubby pleco

dont know exactly what it is. i have one at the lfs i hope to be working at soon. for a 150.00 and im like wow...its chubby. but the price makes me want it. bad me.

anybody have one?

They are cool fish. Don't get too big (about 10 inches) but very, very wide. I think they change color frequently as well which is cool. Not my money so I would go for it! Post pics if you do.

They are one of the more sought after species, I think it's due to their ability to change color.

ill go to the lfs tomorrow night and take pics. im not willing to spend the money on it, i dont really know much about him. maybe if i ever get a bigger tank but if i loose him i think id be crying for a few days over my wasted money.

You keep discus, Not very many plecs out there are any where near as sensitive as discus.

yes true but im sure that if you only made about 200$ biweekly you would not want to spend most of that on something like a pleco. and a chubby one at that!!!!!!

Yeah their price can certainly curtail hopes of having one. And actually 150 for one that's over 3 inches isn't a bad price. I've seen large ones go for over 500.
