L124 for 10 dolla!

I got what looks like an L124 last night for $10 at the LFS. He's dope! Anyone seen these at an LFS and maybe seen a price? I just can't believe such an awesome fish was only $10 hehe. Here's a picture of what he pretty much looks like:

hehe the picture above is an actual L124 taken from http://www.planetcatfish.com (great site) , it's not my actual pleco.

Good fish - I was taking in a bunch of bristlenose fry to trade when I saw a bunch of these - I traded for an L-33 ( I think)instead. The ones I saw were about 35 USD I guess

redtailed shark - L124 is the temporary name given to the fish pictured at the top of this page. Since there are hundreds of species of pleco-type catfish, and new ones being discovered still, they haven't got anyone to classify them properly, so they just get called L033 or LDA02.

If you want one I'd try aquabid.com, because I just happened to find this one in my backwoods LFS hehe

Neat fish zealot! How big does it get? Is it one of the smaller kind? I would LOVE one of those in my tank =)

I believe that being an ancistomus, it'll only get 6" tops. If he gets much bigger than that, I'm afraid I might be tempted to do a larger south american tank, because I've grown pretty attached to him already in the 2 days I've had him. He's not shy like my bushynose, he's always out showing off, all day long. I am a little shocked at his "hang the 3" poop on the plastic plants" thing he likes to do, but man is he fun to watch.

Right now he's about 2.5", kinda skinny, but has the exact same spots as the one I posted above, minus the black bars on the dorsal and pectoral fins. Maybe those will show up as he matures, or maybe I need to hunt some more to nail down what he really is. He was labeled at the LFS as a "Marble Horn Pleco", so I dunno. I can't find that name anywhere on the net. My LFS is notorious for naming their fish goofy names, I had to explain to them that they had a killi fish once, that it wasn't a barb
