Hi everyone,
I was planning on setting up a Lamprologus ocellatus tank when I started having pregnancy problems with my female platy. I threw her into the future lake tanganika tank to get her away from the males and I am not sure what to do with her once I get the ocellatus. I know they are less agressive then other cichlids but will they be to much for the little platy to handle?

Well, even without the fish in there, she'll likely die. Lake Tang cichlids require much harder water and a much, much higher pH than I'm sure a platy could handle too well. But yes, the occies will kill the platy.

I guess I'll just have to get another tank then, as opposed to doing the obvious and trading her in to the LFS.*crazysmil Any excuse for another tank is a good one right?
