Hey y'all, I'm not sure if this is the right forum for my post, but anyway. My friend just bought two black mollies. She left for the weekend and when she returned, there were around 10-12 fry in her tank. She bought fry food, but I'm just wondering if there is anything special that she needs to do with them. Can she leave them in her 10 gallon with the other fish, or does she need to move them into a different tank? I have a small 2 gallon that she could use if needed. What do y'all think?

I know that the other two fish aren't catfish, but I'm not sure if they are tetras. She has river rocks in her tank, so the fry have plenty of places to hide. The just swim in and out and the other fish don't seem to bother them. I'm check into the other fish and try to find out what they are.

theyll be fine if they have hiding places and if you keep the other fish fed well. heres an anology for it: if your stranded on somewhere with no food with some other people will you eat the weaklings or the ones that die? i would only eat the dying people cause i know i dont wanna die. therefore if the fish arent fed well theyll be more likely to eat the fry. just put some moss plants where the fry tend to hide more often. it doesnt matter if they are plastic or real.
