okay so first question will they bread at the size of about 2 inchs, 2nd question im asking this cuz one of my females goes inside a fairly large shell, and she is always in and out of it so i have this feeling she is getting reading to breed...em i right? or em i wrong?

2in would be cutting it close. They may be able too, but I would expect them to be a bit larger.

Also it can be difficult to sex fish at a small size. Are you sure this is a female? Do you see any other fish hanging around with her?

nope i only have one pair, i swear they are male female, has to be the two look quite different

If the difference is in size then stands a good chance that they are a male and female.

I've noticed that with some of my juvenile fish (N. brichardi, N. multifaciatus, N. brevis) that even though they are going though the actions, it takes them some time before they actualy get to the point that they are producing fry.
