Leporinus Nipping

I've recently added a Leporinus to my tank. He has done extremely well for the first 3 weeks. I have recently noticed he has been nipping my blue Gourami. A couple of small bites out of the tail and anal fin. He's not doing it contantly but, I know he's the culprit as I have caught him in the act a couple of times. So heres my question: Have others seen Leporinus nipping?
When is it bad enough that I should get rid of one of them?
Everyone else is getting along fine in my 55 gal with...8 danios, 6 tiger Bs, 3 red wag platty's, 2 albino coris, 1 African Dwarf frog, 1 gourami and 1 leporinus... *celebrate

well the Leporinus will grow so big he wont be able to turn around so you may want to remove him anyways

hmm store showed him getting to only 6 inches

they get a foot, and they will actually get this big, a local LFS has a 1000 gallon+ tank with about 8 that are a littel over a foot

I just read a few profiles on this. As you say they grow to 12+ inches. Looks like I may take him back to the stor if he doesn't shape up... Thanks

He probably wont. They larger they get the more aggresive they get.And depending on the sub-species..they range from 6-18 inches/

well, the people who collect thme have to tell the workers sternly that only fish over x size cna be taken home...the rest go to the cans.

native what others are available other then banded and black banded which both get around a foot
