Thanks, luv! I think it's very interesting to see other people's tanks. 95% of all the pics I see look great. They all have their own style. I like everyone's tank here on this board, especially in the top tanks section.

I love this hooby because there are no "cookie cutter" tanks. Deisgning a tank after another is lame. Ideas and inspiration fuel the imagination and provide a welcomed result!

I'll try to update with new pics soon. The layout has changed slightly and my Cabomba has become a pain in the butt. The lilaeopsis is finally growing in!! The java fern is finally growing, albeit very slowly.

Its free floating algae, i caused it by overdosing nitrates a week or so ago. I managed to diatom filter most of it out, hope it doesnt come back.

How does barley straw work?

From what I have heard it sucks up the excess nutrients. Havent used it myself, yet seen it work in some of the worst pea soup tanks imaginable
