LFS recommendations in So Cal

I'm wondering if I'm missing out on some cool stores out here in So Cal. I only know of a couple in my area and a ton of Petco/Petsmarts. Would any of you happen to be able to share what LFS's you frequent? I can cover the Los Angeles, Ventura and Santa Barbara areas. I was able to find websites that had extensive LFS reviews for the Bay area but alas I live nowhere near there.

Can't help you there...but if you end up going to orange county, I have a few for you.

If your in san diego, fountains aquarium in la mesa is great. Also, pet kingdom has great seletions, but REALLY BAD SERVICE. They are mean, esp that big fat owner....she deserves to be in the tank, she looks like a whale....

there is a place in LA called "The Aquarium" on Sepulveda which is pretty good...for marine stuff you can check out Jeffs Exotic Fish in Gardena

I like Aquarium center and also Underwater Depot both on Ventura blvd in sherman oaks.

Also Seascapes in Valencia (gotta plug the place where i "help out")

I too also like jeffs exotic, and pet kingdom.

Hey thanks, camaro and sinasster. Those are places I looked up at one time wondering how they were, so I'll check them out over the weekend. It'll be about a 30 min drive to get to Sherman Oaks. I'm probably in Orange and San Diego once a year- too far for me but fun places to go.
