Lightbulb selection..

Ok, my tank uses these 15watt tubular style lights, but was wondering if it's safe to replace them with a much brighter pair of fluorescent twist style 13watt lights? They use less energy, last years, and are much brighter. But is there any risk in burning my house down by using them? lol

Just as long as the bulbs will fit in place. They will work. You will need to moniter how hot the hood gets with the new bulb.s

really? I thought the tubular incandescent got MUCH HOTTER than a compact fluorescent lamp!
