Hey y'all its me.....again. i just bought an ocean sun light fo rmy 20 gallon its 10,000k and 15 watts. My corals seem to be doing better then ever but shouldn't they be struggling because i even have them near the bottom of my tank?
well, i guess that depends on how much light they had before and what kind of corals they are...but long run, you will need more light for a 20g if you plan to keep corals
in my last nano they had a very small 50/50 light. but honostly they look better rite now then they ever have even when i bought them....is this just temporary or will it last?
i dont know, it depends on what they are, etc. if it is mushrooms or zoanthids or similar they could be expanding due to a lack light (more surface area=more light absorption)
If I were you I would look for a used 24" coralife 130 watt fixture. I just got one shipped for $90. It would be so much better for your coral.Or anything more than 15 watts is better
ok i foudn one on hellolights fo r130 and thirty dollars and now who wants to borrow me that much? its 130Watts in total...is that too much or is there no such thing as too much light?
i have found hellolights to be very expensive...i would check www.marineandreef.com or www.marinedepot.com for a similar/the same fixture before you drop that much cash at hellolights
