Lionfish Fins

Do lionfish fins grow back? We were given bad advice from a retailer and bought a porcupine puffer. The little booger took a bite out of our lionfish fin. They are separated now. But will the lionfish heal? Thanks.

Well, first off...sorry to hear that. Try not to trust the guys at your LFS (local fish store). I really suggest posting questions here first, then going to the store. Aside from that, I'm a freshwater guy, so I cant really say for sure. But, I know that when ever any of my freshwater fish have had a problem like that, their fins grow back. I dont know if melafix works for saltwater or not.

well if it aint super deep it'll grow back. My friend has one and he was munched quite a bit...good food and unstressful condition = he might be good as new.
