listless in rock hill

one of my chiclids is hanging out a bit ****-eyed up near the heater in the back of my tank. has been for a few days now. when approached he swims to another part of the tank and tilts a bit. any ideas?

We need a lot more information to help you. What kind of cichlid is it? How long have you had him? Have you checked all your water perameters? What are they? What are you feeding them?

Could you describe his behavior properly? Have you been able to look at him to see if there's any growths or abrasions on his body? Is his/her coloring okay? Is he/she eatting?

water is fine. all the others are behaving per usual. i've had them all for several months with no problems.??????i took a picture but don't know how to post it.
eating yes. color looks good. he/she hang out towards the surface, listless, and kind of tilts to the side.

I think you need to answer the rest of my questions there sorry but if we don't even know what kind of fish you have it's hard to say what's wrong.

Probably a dominance thing. Any sign of actual sickness or is it more like injuries?

Is it eating? Are the others checking him out? Chasing him?

finally, he/she is a Labidochromis caeruleus. it's not eating. i've had it six or eight months. paramaters are good. they are eating flake food and cichlid gold. no visible signs of disease or injury and the others are paying him no attention (which i guess is good)

THat's a good start. Do you have other male labs in the tank? Other females?
