little pigs

I was wondering if anyone knew if gouramis always eat like pigs or do i have special ones... LOL.... i just got them about 5 days ago, they are both blue/ 3 spot, and i have them in a tank with a rainbow shark still not sure if they are male or female but they constantly chase each other just wondering if anyone can help me with them. thanks

Gouramis are pigs, as most fish are. If they are chasing each other a lot, then you've probably got 2 males. I keep multiple males together as well, and they chase uite a bit. Do yours get side by side and flair their fins straight up, making themselves look bigger than they really are? If so, you've got 2 males for sure. Females usually just run when chased.
