I just witnessed my live rock squirt out this white liquid with FORCE!! The best way I can explain it is, it was like if you loaded up a syringe with a white milk cream and put it in the tank and pressed the plunger. It was enough to make it look like I just dosed calcium. Imagine an octopus you have seen on the nature channel expel that black liquid in a defense situation, it was like that but white?????? Has any one seen this???

it could be a stomatella. they are like slug/snail like creatures and are good for your cleanup crew. I had a few a few months back and every once and a while I would see one squirting a white substance into the water to reproduce.

I have researched both of these as well. I have never seen them in my tank before, and I am very observant of its contents. Not saying its not in there though. The secretion was a huge amount, it made the fish impossible to see unless they where in the front half of the tank.

That would be it!!! I wondered if the bristols could be the culprit? Thank you!! I have a couple of them that are 12" long and a few that are about 8"-ish long. It was so bad you could not see half way through the tank. It looked like someone dumped a lot of milk cream into.
