I have fallen in love with my loaches (3 Polk-dot Botias and 3 Queen Loaches)!!!! Has anyone else fallen in love with Loaches? When I first got my Botias I figured that they would be a pretty fish that I would see every once in a while on the bottom of the tank. But I got one and then two and three. And then I thought why not try another Loach and see if I like that one. Well, needless to say I did. Anywayz, I shared. Thanks for listening (...or should I say reading...). *thumbsup2 *thumbsup2

I've got 9 kuhli loaches... so I guess most people assume I love them (which I do, they're so neat). I'd love to try yoyo loaches, but I don't have room :(.

I have a 'thing' for loaches myself. Currently I have Yo-Yo loaches (Botia almorhae), a couple of Botia kubotai, a couple of Sinibotia robusta, a small group of Dwarf Loaches (Botia sidthimunki), Batik Loaches (Noemacheilus triangularis), a trio of Schistura sp. aff. vinciguerre, a couple of Schistura sp. aff. nicholsi (those darned Schistura loaches are tough to identify as to precise species), and a very pretty Vaillantella maassi.

I adore loaches especially khuli loaches. They are difficult to find in my area [western new york]. The lfs say they are easier to catch in the fall [?] to try then. They are more visable in the tank when you have 3 or more.

Loaches are definitely loaded with personality. I love my loaches, my favorite ones were my two clown loaches, but I just lost them recently to an unfortunate accident. I still have two golden dojo's which I love and I also have two horseface loaches, I'm planning on getting some new clown loaches, but I'm waiting for another tank to put them in.

Some day I'm gonna have a tank big enough to acommodate full-grown clown loaches. Those fish are the reason I wanted to start keeping fish, but I've never had any :(. I'm going to need some new bottom feeders in the 46g - any loach recommendations for a planted tropical community, that won't interfere with my Rainbows (shouldn't be an issue).
