Loaches

Does anyone have Zebra/YoYo Loaches? Do you have a powerhead for the tank with them in it?

I've had both before. The yoyos never had a powerhead in the tank, but I don't think they would have minded it, as long as is wasn't overpowering. The zebras were in a tank with powerheads, and seemed fine with it. I would say it's not necessary for either species, but neither would be especially bothered by it, as long as there are spots with less current, and their cave is in a calm section.

i have zebras in my 29 right now, without a powerhead. They don't seem to be bothered that my tank does not have much current.

I have yo-yos in a tank with an HOB and they seem to be prospering.

I find that most fish enjoy the swift current of a powerhead and if I had the money I would have a powerhead in each and every tank I own.
