Local Fish tank and What Chiller?!?!?!?!

I live in the great NW and I have a sancuary of great creatures at my back door. Sense I love Scuba diving and the fish hobby I think I am going to do a local SW tank so I can dive for my livestock.

For this though I need a chiller. I have no idea what to look for. I'm looking on ebay but I don't know what is good or not.

My tank is 75 gallons and I need to drop the temp down to 50 - 53 Degrees F.

What are you trying to keep at that temp?

Not the answer to your question and you might allready know this, but make sure to check with your local wildlife and collecting laws before you do anything, dont need to end up with a fine if caught.

im afraid i don't know enough about chillers to help you out. i would reccomend contacting some manufacturers directly. might also speak with a local public aquarium

I'd say somewhere around 1/2hp with halides, but it really depends on the lighting.

these tower chillers can be set as low as 50. Aquarium Chillers: Current USA Prime In-line Tower Chiller 1/3 hp model shold be able to handle the drop in temp needed to match the NW pacific.
