lol yes they like them. try blanched zucchini and raw sweet peppers as well. they should also like blanched broccoli stems, blanched romaine lettuce leaves and blanched spinach.
My common pleco used to eat everything, but I can't get my whiptail to eat anything, not even driftwood. I have a fair amount of algae for him, so I guess he'll live...
my pleco does that too! I once caught him violently wrestling with a cucmber.
@aakaakaak: my clown pleco isn't very fond of cucumbers either. But he goes nuts over green beans! He also keeps his cave verrry clean.. He won't eat algae off anything else *rolls eyes*.. So you might want to try some beans out. It's fun seeing the bite marks after a day or so.
also, is it just me or do they grow relatively fast? Mine has grown at least an inch in about 2 months :O
