Looking at upgrading my heater

Never used Rena, but I have Hydor products and I am not happy with them. I think that Rena is designed to attach to there HOB filters. I just looked at heaters this weekend and liked the Marine Land stuff, expensive, but I have never had an issue with there stuff (Unlike you!) Although I think you like there customer service right? I have Aqua Clear heaters in 2 of my tanks and have had no issues.
Yeah, they had great customer service. They talked me through fixing my filter, and even replaced my light for me. I'm still undecided about the heater, but I was looking more into some sort of inline heater. They all say they need to be installed on the outlet of the filter, but I was planning on putting it on the intake since I'm going to put an inline C02 diffuser on the out end of my filter. I can't really see a reason why the heater needs to go on the out, but I don't want to not do what the directions say. Is there a reason I shouldn't put it on the intake other than that they say don't?
