Im looking to upgrade to a bigger tank and have decided to go for a 50+. I probably cant go above 65 gallons because of the cost of substrate and everything else I may need but a 55 would be perfect for what I need. The tank would have to come with a stand and the accessories like a HOB filter and such. Im in youngstown Ohio and can probably go as far as a 2 hour drive away if absolutly required. preferably around an hour though would be nice :p Tell me what you are asking for your stuff and ill see what I can do. Sorry to be so specific about everything but I figure it cant hurt. I will look at everything similar as well so dont be afraid to post. Thanks for your time *thumbsups

Hey too bad you live far from me. I was thinking about selling my freshwater tank. Has stand, air pump, heater, Eheim 2028 filter, many plants, rocks, and all the fish I have at the bottom. A relative of mine offered $375. I spent more than $600. The filter alone was more than $300, but I guess something is better than nothing.

Wow Joey, I wish I had $400! LOL

Bree, I have a 75gal setup I might be willing to part with, what substrate were you thinking of using? I'm a little out of your way though. Meh.

Well now that I think of it instead of getting everything used I would preffer buying my own accessories. I am planning on eco-complete which will cost like 70-80 some dollars to fill a 55+ gal tank nicley. Then I also am looking at emperor 400 filters. They seem like a good brand.

Well if you're willing to drive a little further, I can sell the 75gal without accessories, it doesn't take much more substrate than a 55, it's still only 48" long, just a little wider and taller.

Something to think about...
Are you going to do a planted tank w/ CO2?
Opinions are that HOB (biowheels) release too much CO2 from the water.
I have no experience with this, just what I read.
I may rig up a DIY c02 thing sometime but yea it will be planted. Ive heard undergravels can cause the root system to rot and it also prevents fine gravels. Ill figure that out later.

Im just able to afford a 55 so I dont think I can go that big. Its not just subtrate, its also the filter, the lights, the upkeep, the parents... lol 55 is fine for now. And where do you live in michigan? Im in north east ohio so unless you were like south east michigan it would probably be too far.

Check this out Bargain Categories
Will do. EDIT: holy crap thank you so much there are tons of aquariums on there. 3 pages full for Ohio. Ill keep checking that.

Check down a few, I had it listed on here. Accessories are all optional, besides the UGF, do what you will with it, but that goes with the tank! LOL We'll work out a price if you want it.

Actually, the 75G is just a little wider. Same length and height as the 55G. I have both myself. My 75G is my planted tank and it takes roughtly 7-8 bags of Eco Complete. I used 8, but you could get away with 7.

I have 2 Emperor 400's on my 55G and they do awsome. If you only get one, you will want a powerhead or something on the other end, or the water will have no circulation and possibly become somewhat stagnant on that end of the tank. I chose 2 Emperors because of the heavy bioload I have. Great filters, and cheap if you get them online at bigalsonline.com.
