Looking for a list of needed equipment.

I dont have a saltwater tank just yet I have really been wanting to set one up but I cant seem to find anything on the needed equipment, I know the basics, a filter, lighting(not flourescent) and a protien skimmer but what else would I need to get?
Im am looking into a 55 gallon(walmart special tank for 150$), but also not sure what kind of fish would be suitable, seeings how most marine fish need at least 70.
I dont think im going to start out with a reef tank because I know they require alot more time and money. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

thanks i forgot about the stickies, i have a feeling that i might hold off on the saltwater then, i dont know if it will fit into the budget, although when we get a bigger house it might not be as much of a problem, my hubby thinks im obbsessed with my fish, and i just tell him yup i sure am, plus my kids love to help feed the fish.
