looks like a weird growth on my guppy

I came home last night to find what looks like a growth on my guppy. He is in a 10 gal., all the water parameters are normal and the tank has been established for about a month. He shares his tank with two females. This morning the growth shrunk and lost some color. His behavior hasn't changed and the other fish seem fine. I managed to find a picture of it online but the website didn't describe it at all. It looks like thick feces. Any insights would be greatly appreciated. Here are the pics I took:

I recently witnessed this occurence with my male angelfish immediately after overfeeding. Basically he just ate so much that his rectal sheath literally started protruding from his anus. IMO it's probably not great for the fish to have this happen, so I would scale back on the quantity of food you add to the tank during each feeding.
