Today I introduced three cichlids from quarantine into the general population, a pealry white Calvus, a Z Rock and a Lemon Jake. The Calvus must have been bullied to death. Bummer he was an awsome fish. Lemon Jake is doing outstanding but I can't seem to find the Z rock, which is probably a good sign.

Update: Spotted the Z rock, doing good. By the way I currently have two cichlids holding eggs. A red top mbuna (that I thought was male) that I presume mated with my albino red top. And an OB peacock that I presume mated with my other OB peacock. Hope some of the fry make it.

Sorry to hear about your Calvus, at first I was unaware as what kind of fish they were, however Google shows them to be very pretty, a very distinct face. Hope the other 2 continue to do well though !

Yeah they are very unique looking. I've wanted one for a while. Its always a risk when mixing the african lakes I have found. Today I added a Labeotropheus trewavasae (Zimbawe) to the quarantine so in a few weeks I'll add him to the gen. pop. He's a mbuna so he should do fine.
