Lots of algae

my ten gallon grows ALOT of algae. I would say weekly I am pulling it off of my fake plants in sheets.

its Very very dark green... Ive heard this is good, but this much??

mabe u could put some Egeria densa in to compete with the algae

It sounds to me like you have a case of blue-green algae. Adding plants won't help. Blue-green algae is a dark green, and grows in sheets. Is the algae slimey? This article might help you: http://www.plantgeek.net/article_viewer.php?id=9
