So I like to spend my time surfing around on a Chinese wholesaler website every now and then, and today I came across something very unusual. They're selling something that they call "magic fish," which apparently are shipped as eggs you're supposed to raise them.

I was wondering if anyone knows what kind of fish these are, or if they're suitable for a community setting. I don't know if they'd actually grow at all, but they're very pretty.

Are they community friendly? Everbuying tends to be cheaper with a lot of things, so I don't know if the price is good either. Honestly I don't even know if raising them is a good idea or not.

In general, they do best in a species tank. They have fairly particular water needs, from what I know.

I'm not sure if that price is good or not. Shipping is a major factor, too. Plus, I'm not sure exactly which species that is. There are hundreds of species/strains out there. Browse Aquabid or another site for comparisons and to see what's out there.

Edited to add: eBay also has tons. I saw some egg sets for around $8 with free shipping.
