Anyone have or know someone who may have a Magnum 350 for parts?
Thanks

I need several actually. I purchased a nice used one to use as a backup, but they didn't have everything with it for some reason. I still need to find an intake tube with strainer (and extension if available), outlet tube with diffuser, tube retaining bracket for the intake and outlet and the quick disconnects. All of this is about $50 to buy new. I can buy a whole new filter for $85, so I was hoping to find one that was no longer working or that someone no longer had any use for. . . Thanks

Sorry I can't help you out then... All I have is a couple extra sets of foam gaskets, a media basket and an impeller (no magnet) on hand.

You could always DIY all that stuff. The quick connects are pretty easy too.
2x 1/2" ball valves
2X 1/2" threaded unions
2x 1/2" close nipples
4x 1/2" NPTx 1/2" hose barb
and for the paranoid like me... 4x hose clamps

I don't remember prices but these will last you a life time ;). MUCH sturdier than any of the manufactured quick connects I've ever seen. Not to mention the Unions are much easier to undo if the filter is in a stand or other difficult to reach place.

Thanks Chris
I was actually thinking along the same lines as you. The more I thought about it the quick disconnects I have for my other Mag 350 are a pain in the you-know-what to connect and disconnect. This would be much easier. I think I will make up a couple of sets. One for the new filter and one for the other currently in use. Thanks again!

Any time :) The only big thing to keep in mind is put the ball valves on the tank side of the lines. I wanted to use two/line (like the magnum ones) but they would have been WAY too long for my set up. You could reduce the length by using True Union Ball Valves but the price tag stopped me. With the one valve set up there is a bit of a learning curve to prime the filter with out spilling water but it's not too bad ;).

I am thinking about using the single union ball valves. They are a little pricey, but like you said before . . .they will last a life time.

Hey Chris, just an FYI
I checked my local Lowe's store and they have 1/2" double union ball valves for $4.94.

Well then! Do that for sure! :)

The only place locally I can get them is a plumbing supply house that wants $25 for a 1/2" one. Rona (like Lowes but Canadian) is about the cheapest for normal threaded ball valves and they're still $5.00 ea. :(

Congrats on the find!
