Hi all!

I have a simple question (maybe)

I want to do a small mod to my Magnum 350 Pro canister. It currently has the return and bio-wheel w/ spraybar attachment (see crude drawing below)

I would like to remove the return that has the flow diffuser, and just have the filter return everything through the bio-wheel attachment (see addition crude drawing below :p )

Is this do-able? If I set the spray bars to "full"

You may ask why am I doing this? Well it's because this filter is on my Goldie tank, and my exceedingly FAT goldfish have a difficult time with the current coming out of the filters return tube LOL

Any thoughts? Alternate Suggestions?

Keep the current, they need the exercise :p

Perhaps it would be a better idea to get a spraybar attachment to replace the diffuser. That way, you'd still get lots of movement, but without the heavy flow. I think in a goldie tank you want to keep that poop suspended and getting filtered out.

Thanks Lotus!! I was beginning to think no one was going to respond LOL

Hmmmm, so you think I should keep the existing Bio-wheels w/spraybar attachment and add an additional spray bar where the diffuser goes?

Well from what I've seen Marineland doesn't offer just a spray bar attachment (except the one with bio-wheels like I have). Does Fluval, Eheim etc offer any? Maybe I could modify a different manufacturers unit to work.

What do ya' think?
