Happy day!

I'd like to figure out a way to extend the outflow tube so that the diffuser is lower in the tank. I have the 350s on a 50 gallon breeder and a standard 125. The evaporation in our home is rather rapid and if I can lower the diffuser, then my wife will stop torturing me about the noise. *celebrate

Also, if you recommend a solution, please recommend a place to get the parts.

have you tried the company directly.i know that i seems that there are few options when you buy a filter but after a few days in a fish store it seems there is almost any adapter you can think of.try marineland or your lfs and very nicely ask you lfs for these parts they may share the secret stash of filter goodies.

I looked around at different parts...maybe I should Google for a more precise part but here's the issue.

As you can see from the picture, its one solid piece of u-shaped plastic and the only break spot is where the diffuser is at the end. In this picture, the diffuser is pointing the wrong way.

Anyway, almost all of the u-shape that connects to the diffuser is "used up" by the clip that holds the inflow and outflow tubes to the side of the tank. There is approximately 1/2 an inch of tube available before you bump up against the top half of the coupler into which the diffuser connects. One part of the coupler is attached to the u-shaped tube and the other is attached to the diffuser.

Due to the short dimensions, cutting the outflow tube is very dicey.

I was hoping that someone else along the way might have had the same issue and figured out a solution. And I think it will call Marineland and see what they suggest.

Thanks!
