Magnum 350 pro question

I have the Mangum 350 pro with the dual bio-wheels on order, and i am making a basking area out of plexi glass. The basking spot will run along the sides and back of my 75G tank. I need to cut a hole somehere to allow filter access and bio-wheel runoff. Does anyone know the amount of space required inside the tank for the magnum 350 w/ bio wheels to have access to water?

The inlet and outlet for the magnum only requires 2.5 inches or so, the dual bio-wheels on the otherhand need about 2ft.
