Malawi Cichlid and Convict Question:

What is the minimal tank size for the Lake Malawi Cichlid species? Let's say 5?

Also, what are the best companions for convicts (so far one) in a 30 gallon?

for the Malawi cichlids, i have seen tanks as small as 29 gallon, but i noticed that alot of people start with 55 gals, as for the convicts i have no idea, i have never kept one before

40gal possibly? for 5. Seen it in a 30gal but not sure i'd say it was the best choice. Some species are more aggressive so its kind of hindering on what species, how big they are, etc. My brother keeps yellow labs in a 29gal, about 5-8 so...i guess it could work. Depends on species, etc.

1 con in a 30gal? Hmm, another con of the opposite sex would work well i'm sure. I kept my cons in a 30gal with 1 Mbuna (look back and kinda scowll at it). A single Firemouth maybe. Something of the same temperment, that can take the con's attitude and doesn't get to big.
