If i breed my bettas, wat are the chances the male would die?

the female usually gets beat up more that the male.

But really, you need much more "fishkeeping" experience before you just run out and buy a female betta and plop her in your tank.

I agree with TLC (heh), if you don't know what you're doing, you could end up killing one, if not both bettas.

If you research and learn the proper setup and procedure, it is not very likely either the male or female will get too hurt or die during mating.

Breeding involves knowledge, and a huge comitment, about 10 months, feeding twice a day, water changes everyy 3 to 5 days, about $300.00 in supplies and food.

Also, male bettas that breed TEND to live shorter lives, as noted by other breeders and myself.
