Male or Female?

I have 4 angels and I was just wondering how big they are when they start to pair off. And what does that mean anyway? Will they start swimming only with the other one? Or what? Cuz so far, my angels all swim together and I haven't noticed any pairing...Do you think they are all boys? That would suck.

They can start to pair off from when they're around 2.5" diameter. Some might pair off later. You'll notice two hang out together all the time. If you see a pair together in a corner chasing other fish away, you know they're preparing to breed.

Oh okay. They aren't that big yet, that's probably why they haven't paired off. I thought that might be it, but I wanted to check. Thanks!

yeah i have a question when you say 2.5 in diameter do you mean from the top to the bottom fins or their actually body is 2.5 inches in diameter. bc i have 4 angels too and they are stil swim together.

Id they are swimming together, they are just friends. They have not paired off. You will definitely know when they pair off. Only 2 will stay together, and will chase off all the others.
