I was wondering if it was possible to house a mantis and dwarf lion together in a 40 gallon without aggression. Only with those 2 and nothing else.

Thanks for your reply I guess I'll only be getting the dwarf lion for my 40. BTW is there anything that is compatible with the dwarf lion and can fit in a 40 gal? I have seen some people keep clowns and chromis with their lion but everyone warns me the lion would end up killing them both.

Actually a lot of stuff is quite compatible as long as it doesn'tgo in there mouths - they're not especially aggressive. large clowns, dwarf angels, hawks are all good examples.... Shrimp, little clowns, damsels are the main ones to avoid. A dwarf lion will never catch a pseudochromis for example. Avoid maroon clowns tho' - they will beat on a dwarf lion real bad.

They are messy so I would only be looking at 2 or 3 fish total to go in there.
